DISTRICT ALIGARH launched with great fanfare
Among the spate of thrillers receiving a positive reaction at the Box office, here is a new action thriller set in the hinterlands of Uttar Pradesh. Aligarh is also known as the main centre of locks production and it is ironical in the film that this particular city faces a criminal conspiracy – a fictional story in the just announced film District Aligarh.
Dos Amigos Picture Pvt. Ltd.’s maiden venture film “DISTRICT ALIGARH” was launched with great fanfare on 19th Sept 2012 also the auspicious day of Lord Ganesha at Andheri west, Mumbai.
On this occasion, there were many known faces from Bollywood and media present where Producer Mahendra Ojha & Kishan Ojha welcomed Chief Guest Rao Narendra Singh Yadav & Pawan Sharma.
Other distinguished guests were Kurush Deboo (as Dr Rustom in film Munnabhai MBBS), Pooja Misrra (Big Boss fame), Mushtaq Khan, Birbal along with Arshad Siddique & Narendra Singh of Filmybox.
Famous sufiyana singer Shabab Sabri and singer Swaroop Khan (Indian Idol fame) entertained entire audience with their melodious voice, which was followed by unveiling of background curtain to reveal first look of film “DISTRICT ALIGARH”.
The film is written & music by Manoj Santoshi, lyrics by Saajan Agarwall and title track has been rendered by Kailash Kher, film’s executive producer is Dilip Chaukikar.
Dos Amigos Picture Pvt. Ltd is a fully integrated content creation, aggregation and advertising film making company. Producer Mahendra Ojha said “locks of Aligarh are very famous and so is mysterious atmosphere also, this film is a suspense thriller”.
The film is expected to release in early 2013.
